I’m working on a 3rdGeneration AU of kids and trolls that basically come before the ancestors and gaurdians. Here’s Leijon.

I really liked this picture so I decided to slap some colors on.

Swag for Thneedbenders

The son of a minor King of an Earth Kingdom city that hasn’t not been taken by the Fire Nation. There is a controversy about his blue eyes, as the King and Queen have green eyes. He does not take his responsibilities seriously and spends a lot of time outside of his family’s palace. He doesn’t mind being the richest person in the city though. The family’s crest is a Turtleduck.

I based this outfit on the Earth King and King Bumi’s outfits. I don’t really like it though and might go back. They seem to be able have outfits of all colors (not just green or blue) so I could get away with Swag’s pink. They also seemed to have a lot of hats, so I tried to turn Swag’s iconic shades into a hat. They don’t have contacts at this point so he gets little glasses. 

He is a non-bender.

Commission I started almost a month ago is finally done!!

Bitter (and Scallion) for Thneedbenders.

He’s a water bender.

He and his mom got taken from the Southern Water Tribe when he was young. They were sent to a Fire Nation encampment for a while, but escaped in a prison break. Now they are refugees in an Earth Kingdom town. His mother has managed to be relatively successful in the new town, but she hasn’t been the same emotionally or mentally since the time at the prison. He avoids her when he can.

Because he was pretty young when they were taken, he hasn’t had a real chance to practice his bending and is pretty flimsy with it. He’s kind of made a name for himself for wearing the heavy Water Tribe coat around, even in the warmer weather (although it has a few “modifications.”) Maybe if he had some more body fat he wouldn’t be cold all the time.

His outfit is basically the outfit most of these villagers wore in the Southern Water Tribe, with the coat cut to reveal pants.

He is a fire bender.

He is a deserter from the Fire Nation Army, a unit that was made of mostly new draftsmen who were basically being used as canon fodder. He was drafted into the army after his father committed suicide and there was no one to take care of him. He didn’t get away from the army without a few scars, which he hides under his clothes.He’s got some other scars too, including some cuts on his lips. If he you ask how he got those scars, he’ll tell you a snake bite.

He’s currently a refugee in an Earth Kingdom town that’s pretty far to the  East Mainland, protected from the war just by it’s location. People are not welcoming to a Fire Nation, even if he’s renounced his loyalty. He’s a squatter in the woods and hunts his food.

His outfit is basically just a dressed down Fire Nation grunt outfit. Also he has a ponytail because let me have this.

Jade suggested I try drawing with a thinner line weight.

So here, I tested it out. A boring picture of One.
